Where a learner does not already hold a compliant First Aid certificate, booking onto the Door Supervisor Refresher course includes Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) as an integrated part of the Refresher programme.
EFAW Delivery Method.
Delivery of Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
The EFAW qualification is delivered in two stages:
- Online Learning – must be completed in full before the Door Supervisor Refresher course begins.
- Classroom Practical Assessment – delivered immediately prior to the start of the Door Supervisor Refresher training.
Learners must successfully complete both elements of EFAW before they can proceed with the Door Supervisor Refresher training and assessments.
Existing First Aid Certificates – Validity.
Learners who already hold a First Aid at Work (FAW) or equivalent higher level qualification must ensure it has at least 12 months’ validity remaining on the first day of the Refresher course. Evidence must be presented to the trainer prior to course commencement. Failure to do so will prevent participation.
Optional First Aid Training Information.
Learners are encouraged to complete the First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification where possible, as it is a higher level award and may improve employment opportunities.
